My friend was a resident of Sunrise of Leawood. It's absolutely beautiful. The staff was a problem. They had a lot of Africans from Africa so they had accents. My friend didnt have problems with their color, but she couldnt understand them. They would sometimes come in and ask her if she wanted to go have lunch, when she said no, they left, so sometimes she didn't eat all day. That was probably because she needed more care than we realized. I had dinner there a couple of times, including Thanksgiving, and it was good. They had a lot of activities although she didn't go. I took her one time when there was someone playing the piano. The general appearance and layout was beautiful. This community was pricey.

Sunrise of Leawood seemed to be very nice. It was very pretty and it was nice inside and out. The rooms looked good and the dining area was very nice. They have amenities. They have a room to play pool and video games, they have people come in to play the piano for entertainment, and they have outings, which they do often.

Sunrise of Leawood is in a lovely area. It is a beautiful place full of activities. Everybody was busy. However, there was very limited parking. There's underground parking in the building, which is nice, but there's not much of it. A staff member took me around. Their smoking area was one bench out in the front of the building, so that wouldn't work for us.

We toured Sunrise and it was excellent. They chose a a 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment with a little table for them to eat on. They've got a lot of activities to do. They even have a room where my aunt could paint. The lunch they were serving looked and smelled good.
