My husband is a resident of Cedarhurst. He get’s excellent care, the activities are numerous and you definitely will not get bored if you choose to participate. The food is very good and most importantly the staff is helpful and friendly. We are in the process of decorating his apartment to make it feel more like home for him. As my husband has Parkinson’s, we actually chose Cedarhurst when it was Waterford two years ago but he was not ready to move in at that time. He now needs more care than I can give him and he is getting it at Cedarhurst.

My mom is now at The Waterford at Edison Lakes. I just love it. It is very homey, and the staff is friendly. The apartment my mom has is just ideal for her. I am very happy with them. The other plus that they offer is transportation. They can go to the doctor's or to the dentist's where the other ones don't have that. The food is very good and very tasty. The dining room is fancy with tablecloths. It is a whole nice atmosphere. My mom is not really much for activities but she does love the library because she is a reader. She has gone to some of their musical performances, too. She likes those. Most of the people are very happy there.

The Waterford at Edison Lakes is very nice and comfortable. The people here are caring. My husband and I have a bedroom, sitting room, and bathroom. We're at the assisted living side. The food has been very good.

I liked The Waterford at Edison Lakes, but I did not like that there's more than one floor. The rooms I saw were a little bleak. The staff who gave me the tour was wonderful.

My mother-in-law lived at North Woods for a short time before she passed. There really weren't activities that she could participate in because she was too advanced, and it was a total memory care facility. The service was good. I think it could have been a little bit better. They didn't offer one-on-one services unless you pay extra. The place was clean and well-maintained. They have very good staff. It depends on the level of memory care and how advanced the individual, because if they're too far advanced it's hard for them to adjust, no matter how good the facility is. However, the staff was very on the ball and was aware when she started to progress and go down. We were notified immediately, and they stayed with us throughout my mother-in-law's last days. So that was excellent. I would highly recommend them. If a person is going to move in and their memory problem is not quite advanced and they can adjust, they will do very well. They offer quite a few activities.
