This place should be closed down by the state dept. of health. My mom\' trash can is often over-flowing w/ used depends. Th food is just plain AWFUL!!! The quality of meat hey serve is the lowest that can be purchased. The evening meal consists mostly of sandwichs & Pre-cooked breaded food. There is little over-site of staff. The corporate offices do not come to the facility. It is all about greed for $$$!

What I like most about Montvale Estates is that it seems like you are not lockdown like the rest of the state is. You don't have to follow the same rules and regulations that the state has, and I like that. I like the fact that if we want to pick Mom up, and those type of things, we can actually have her leave the community and then check her back in. Those types of things following proper COVID protocol, that to me is one of the most important things. It was a clean facility. Her apartment looked recently painted with a new carpet. It's a clean facility and it looks like they will provide everything she needs. I am a little concerned that there's probably not much social interaction going on inside the community right now, but that's just part of COVID. Everybody I have interacted with within the community has been very helpful. They have a library, a little study area, and an area where they play cards.

I toured Montvale Estates, but we only saw one room because of the virus. The staff was very nice and very helpful. They don't have activities right now because of the virus. We did like the idea that he could have his own outside door, and we liked that a lot, because he could go in and out, but it's just not for us.

The staff who did the tour was great. They have a little family room and there was a little area for parties. They have games for when the grandkids came over to visit.

My dad has been at Montvale Estates for about a month now. It suits all the needs he has and they're very accommodating. He is having a lot of fun playing all the activities they provide. They're keeping him occupied. He used to have hallucinations and paranoia, but none of those things have happened since he moved into this community. He is having an enjoyable time, he likes the staff, and the residents. They showed him what the activities are and helped him during meals. They also set him up with a couple of people to get to know and hang out with. The food is really good, but sometimes there's only three options. The other day, my dad had salmon, chicken, fried steak, and ice cream, so it's all really good.
