My friend is moving to Parkwood Meadows. We picked it because it's the same exact layout as the place she's in right now; the place must be owned by the same people. When she goes out of her room, the dining room is exactly where it is in the other place. It's the same with the front desk and the activity center, so she won't have any problem adjusting. They have daily activities. She has a patio where she can sit, and she can walk around the facility. She's eighty-eight so she doesn't do a whole lot, but she enjoys just being with people so it's going to be good. The people were fabulous there. They're very easy to deal with, they got her signed up, it all worked really well. The facility was clean, very nice, and very well taken care of. The rooms were all clean, so I was very impressed.

Our experience with Parkwood Meadows has been very good. I like everything. Everybody seems real nice and so far, the food is good, the service is good, they take care of everything, and Mom does a lot of things on her own. It's a retirement thing and not really assisted living. The staff has been very good, very knowledgeable, they know what to do, and everything seems to run smoothly. There's always something different going on every day. They offer three meals a day and a snack. They have a laundry area. You wash your own clothes, but they take care of the linens and the towels. The facility is very nice.

I was very impressed with Parkwood Meadows. They have upscale apartment living. I was very surprised because it was not one large room. Instead, the bedroom was divided from the living room. They had activities posted. The dining area was more of a home setting instead of a cafeteria. They brought a menu around and let people pick out what they wanted to eat and served it to them. Those people were all volunteers who were very friendly and helpful. There wasn't anything I wasn't happy about.

We visited Parkwood Meadows and I liked the atmosphere and the elegance of the place. You're pretty much on your own, they clean twice a week, and they have people come in and do the linens. They drive people to the doctor, and they showed us a 2-bedroom. They have all kinds of different games in the community area, and they were all friendly.

I visited Parkwood Meadows. I was accommodated very well. It was very pleasant. The staff did a good job of taking us around and answering questions. It wasn't necessarily run down, but it didn't have a modern upbeat look either. We know that they're dealing with COVID and all of that kind of thing. I did not notice anything because I don't have really good eyesight, but I felt like it was a little outdated; it was a little more of a nursing home feeling than independent living. That's not because I saw people there or not; it's just a feeling I had. The apartments were not modern looking, and the heating system was not new. The apartment was a little outdated but roomy. The staff was very friendly, very informative, very honest about everything, and followed up with me very quickly, and I appreciated that.

I visited Parkwood Meadows, and everything was real nice, but it was too expensive. They have a nice restaurant and a library. They have nice grounds and an activities area.

I liked Parkwood Meadows. It was very different from the other two communities I visited. It was more like cottages and had a more homey effect. I liked the layout and how it looked. You could park your car right in front of where you live. The person who accommodated me was personable and nice. She was a substitute but she was very good, very knowledgeable, and had been in the community for a while. They had a place where they went for activities in the afternoon, plus scrapbooking, theaters, and activities that the residents could participate in the evening. The room wasn't as large as others, but it was nice and had more of a cozy feeling.

I visited Parkwood Meadows. They have shopping days for the residents, they go off to local restaurants for lunch, and there's also a Bridge club for and things like that. They also have a nice dining room, a theater, chapel, and exercise room; they have everything. The food was excellent and I met the chef when I went to the dining room. It was nice. They also have a couple of things to choose from. You're not just limited to one meal. The staff was nice and pleasant, but they're just not quite as open and friendly as the staff in the other community we visited.

My mother is moving into Parkwood Meadows. Her apartment is larger for a lower price than any other place that we found. It's the most affordable. I was with the helpful staff several times for tours, and we had lunch there. The location is in an extremely congested area by 620 and the Chisholm Trail, so it's not ideal. They have cards, games, chair volleyball, and music for people to listen to.
