Hawaii Kai has nursing care provided so my friend is assisted with things for her daily life. It's very lovely. Right now we're on COVID lockdown, so nothing's quite normal. There are no visitors right now. She's very happy there though, and very happy than where she was. So it's working out very well. The staff and everyone has been wonderful. They have a weight room, they have classes, they have a beautiful dining room, a pool, dining room, and a beauty salon. They have everything that the retired community could enjoy. People can have pets, and it's a very nice atmosphere. She's very happy with the food compared to where she was. The food is very good. They're getting served in their rooms because the dining room isn't open. She was paying even more, where she was, and it was terrible.

We were quite impressed with what they have and what they offer at Hawaii Kai. We're on their list and we will be notified if a two-bedroom opens up. The staff was wonderful. We looked at three-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. We looked at all their recreational areas, which include the gym, movie theater, and dining hall. It was a very good tour. There was something going on almost everywhere we went in the activity rooms.

My in-laws are in Hawaii Kai. They are happy there. The staff members are very nice. My father-in-law loves it. He loves the food. In fact, he gained all his weight back from the nursing facility he was stuck at. Even though he has Alzheimer's, he is happy there. They have a van that takes them all over the place, and he loves to be in the van. He doesn't care where they go; he just loves driving around. My mother-in-law has a nurse's aide that comes in to help him bathe. They're pretty independent. My in-laws go to their doctors' appointments together. They schedule it with the van. The only days they can't make doctors' appointments is on Wednesdays because that's the day the van gets tuned up.

Hawaii Kai is as good as it can be. They have one apartment that has the best view that's wonderful. The marketing director was wonderful, very friendly, and helpful. They provide a change of linens every Friday and clean once a week, too. We ate lunch there, and the food was great. The wait staff was very professional and very good.

My husband and I went to Hawaii Kai and it was nice. I'm trying to make arrangements so that my mother-in-law can go and see what her reaction is. The person that assisted me was very nice and very helpful. She took us all around to different places. They had a studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom apartments. They had activities for the residents and most of these people were independent. The dining area was very nice. When I went to see the place, they had an activity going on. They had someone explaining how to pack up if you wanted to move, and they would assist in all the packing. We had food with this particular group, and it was very good. Everything was good.

We did an in-person tour of Hawaii Kai. They showed us a vacant room. Because the pandemic is going on, they couldn't exactly show us the whole inside of like the main building. The guy that we met was very nice, he knew what he was talking about, very professional, and very considerate to my dad. It seemed like a really pretty area, it's pretty clean, and it's fairly quiet. The staff seemed very nice, knowledgeable, they seemed like they had a lot of good resources, like there's a gym that's there with a physical therapist. One thing they were telling me is that if my dad needs physical therapy, that he wouldn't have to travel to go to his treatment. He can get them there if he desires, and so that was kind of cool. They're a little bit expensive and the rooms were kind of small if it's just for one person living there, and they do have options based on how much you're gonna pay. I guess the least expensive room was the kind that we saw, but it was still kind of pricey. There's a nurse on site and if she needs to do care with the patient, there's a seperate fee for her. I feel like it should be included, like for how much you're paying. I think the cheapest room there is like $4,500 a month. I guess I was a little bit put off by the idea that the nurse charges by the hour if she needs to come and do anything.

My tour of Hawaii Kai was very informative, and I saw various residences. It's an excellent community. I would have no problem at all moving my mom in there if she was willing to go. The rooms were very nice. They had nice facilities like a swimming pool. The landscaping was nice. It's a very large facility with large grounds. Because of COVID, I was unable to see their exercise facilities, but they have that.

The lady who gave us a tour of Hawaii Kai provided us with good information. The overall community was clean and nice, and they were very accommodating. The rooms were very nice and clean, and another room had a different configuration. They were accommodating. I'm happy with it, but I'm rating them a 4 because I didn't have any other facilities to compare it with.

I visited Hawaii Kai, and I liked it. It was excellent, well-maintained, and attractive. They showed me a 1-bedroom. It has enough room, was attractive, and well-maintained. They handed me an activity chart, they have transportation to medical appointments, shopping, and they have card games. They were in the midst of construction in the lobby.

My mother moved into Hawaii Kai last June. It was our first choice. I knew about this place from a long time ago and it's great. However, they promised something, and when it was time to do it, they didn't do it. Every week, I had to go over there to remind them. The problem got resolved though, so it is all good now. Everything was great except that little wrinkle that we had to go through. I like the openness of the community when you enter the place; it's really pretty, it's clean, huge, and open. They have fountains, and the dining room is very nice. They serve adequate, good food. There are a wide variety of activities that residents can partake in, from games to puzzles and classes, and there's a workout room too. It's very diverse.
