The food was awesome, they have a new chef and the meals are well presented well planned and very nutritious. The staff is amazing. Everyone goes out of their way to help you. My husband had his own wonderful concierge room with plenty of room for him to walk around in his walker, with a beautiful view of deer every early evening from his windows There were always snacks available and always clean linens for you to get as needed. I would highly recommend this facility for Physical Therapy rehabilitation. I can’t say enough about this facility.

I liked the Ashton Senior Living. It's closer to me, and value wise, I'd say it's the best deal. They were approximately $1000 a month less to stay there than the other 2 places that we liked. The rates did not go up like they do at the other places, and they start to add on stuff. There's no add-ons at the Ashton. If you buy in at a certain price and your disease progresses or you decline, they don't nickel and dime you to death. The staff was very kind. The Ashton is what we are going to suggest to our sister-in-law that she go. We liked it very well because while it wasn't as fancy, it's a very nice and clean place. The staff seemed very caring, and it's closer to our home. We were very impressed with them. They have the beauty shop, and the movie room. They have a room that they use for church services. They have a building physician that comes in every couple of weeks and sees the residents, and keeps their prescription up to date, which is important. That means that they don't have to be moved out to a doctor; the doctor actually comes to them. They provide meals, and the meals seemed adequate. They said they get a lot of their food from the farmers' market, so they don't have a lot of additives and preservatives.

Oaks at Limestone was beautiful. The staff was very nice, helpful, and got back to me with all kinds of information. It was nicely laid out, and everyone was well cared for.

It is very fine, and the people there did a great job with the tour. They had nice amenities, but what sold me on the idea was when I met several residents during the visit. They showed me a decorated room, which was very nice, one that looked like it was about to be decorated, and one that looks as it stands now. I saw a 1- and a 2-bedroom apartment, and the size was fine. They also have activities. I saw a lady painting and they also have a library. It is strictly independent living and they provide meals, but if you need help with medication or anything like that, you have to arrange that separately.

My friend went to hospital dehydrated. The staff doesnt give fluids. We were told there would be a snack in afternoon. He never had one unless we gave it to him. There are no nurses there to check BP even in a crisis as my friend’s BP was very low. I kept taking it. We were told it was assisted living so no nurses. The aids and CMAs walk around with their shoes off. Not all but some. It is not hidden. New management is needed as Ashton could be a great place.

The Oaks at Limestone was very nice. We wanted my mother to go there. It was under construction in the reception area, so that was a bit disheartening. Nevertheless, we were greeted right away by the staff. She was very nice and very well oriented. They had a reading room and an outside foyer porch. She explained to us that they had regular meal service and that they had snacks throughout the day, so that was also a plus. The staff also showed us the physical therapy unit as well as the bed arrangement that they had available. The rooms were semi-private. They had toilet in the room, but in order to shower, you had to go with a nurse to another area. The room was rather small, even the semi-private units, but still we feel it was adequate for my mother.

The Oaks at Limestone has a good layout and is very attracted. The therapists are the best you could want, they're very good. They have all kinds of activities, they had a Super Bowl party last night, there are pets that visit, there are non-denominational services, pizza nights, and all different kinds of things every day. The food smells wonderful and my husband eats it.

Ashton Senior Living - Gainesville was a big place. It has elevators in it, which is important to me because I am handicapped. It has multiple levels and a lot of people living there. I had an appointment at a specific time, but the manager who was supposed to meet me was not there. The two gals that were working at the front desk were very young, very confused, and were busy playing with their cellphones, chewing bubble gum, and twirling their hair. I was not impressed. When you first walk in the main entrance, there's a sitting room off to the left and a library off to the right. There was a woman in a wheelchair in the library knitting and somebody was walking through. The room I saw was nice. However, they don't tell you the price of anything until you actually go there and have the grand tour. It was just unprofessional.

Ashton Senior living was my number one pick. It was very clean, the owners and operator all seemed very personable, nice, and seemed to really care for their patients. It wasn't too large, but it was very well-kept, very nice, and the price was manageable. There was nothing I didn't like.
