Brookdale Chatfield hires the best staff. They are very, very helpful and very easy to get along with. We get breakfast and dinner, and they are very good. When we were confined in our rooms because of COVID, they delivered the meals right to our doors. They also have nice entertainment when the rooms are open for entertainment. They are nice and lovely people. The residents here are also very nice. They make sure everybody gets along, and the staff is just magnificent.

We went to Brookdale Chatfield. I liked this place very much, we were very well received, they were courteous, the place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the place was warming. We visited a couple of bedrooms, and I think we visited a studio. The one-bedrooms had a stove in it, a good size refrigerator, and even a microwave. They had a nice layout, I liked it a lot, and of the four places we visited, this would be my favorite from the price view, the services they gave, and the accommodations they provided. It was pleasant. We are only a couple of miles away, the proximity is a lot more convenient to the other three places we saw, and this is a lot more familiar to my sister-in-law.

Overall, Brookdale West Hartford has a really nice warm feel to it. It is a small place but it is nice. It really has that community feel to it. The facilities are very nice. I like the porch they have there. There's a really nice area where people can sit down and look out. The dining room is very nice. The rooms are nice also but they're smaller. That's one of the reasons why they came in second to us because of the room size. The person who helped me there was fantastic. She was really warm, nice and helpful. Overall, it was very good. Everyone was very nice.

Brookdale Chatfield was very impressive, except that the price was out of our range. It costs $2,600 for additional care provided there as well as aides to help take care of my husband. The facilities were very neat, clean, and we like the place a lot. The staff who gave us the tour was very capable, competent and answered all our questions. She recommended that we ask more questions, and that we could call her back. She's very knowledgeable in terms of the process you have to follow in order to transition from one place to another. We learned how to go about transition, she's a very knowledgeable person. The place was very clean and modern-looking. The rooms were big and the bathrooms were ideal for handicapped people, with hand towels and all, it's completely ideal for our age-group. We went to the snack area, we had a pastry which was delicious and a cup of tea. It was a very nice area where you can have snacks in-between meals and watch TV. The physical appearance of the community is just top-of-the-line.
