My mother moved into Lodge at Cold Spring. It is a very nice, very upbeat, and a positive community. The building itself physically is very good and above average for this type of environment. The staff members are very helpful. They want to help my mother as much as they possibly can. My mother has a studio, but they have a range of apartment size, including 1-bedroom and possibly 2-bedroom apartments. They have lots of activities. There is something planned every day. They have a small exercise room that has stationary bicycles of different varieties. The food is restaurant-quality. It is very good. They have a dining room where the residents sit down and are served by the staff. Given the things that they offer, Lodge at Cold Spring is a good value.
We went to the Lodge at Cold Spring. It was very nice, they all greeted us very nice. I met some of the workers there, actually one worker came up, just introduced themself and said, "Hello, how are you?" The rooms were nice, the place was OK, and they had a stove, a good size refrigerator, and a good size room. The staff was gracious.
My mom has been staying at The Lodge at Cold Springs for three or four years, and we like it. They have very helpful and responsive staff. My mom is happy there, and they have physical things to do. You can take outings once a week, and they will transport you to different places like doctors' visits or shopping. They also offer three meals a day.
My mom has moved into Lodge at Cold Spring. She has an independent efficiency apartment. I highly recommend the place. They have very good staff who look out for their clients. They provide wonderful meals and have nursing services available a la carte. It is a very good deal. The location is fine off the highway. The grounds are pleasant enough. They have a small gazebo in the front and a small sitting patio. Some of the apartments have small balconies. They have a wonderful dining room, a library, and a small chapel. It is very well appointed with furniture. My mom participates in bingo, which is the best thing. They also have movie night, memory games during the day, a cake decorating activity, and all sorts of crafts. The staff members are very attentive and wonderful. The only problem that I have is that it is an independent apartment building, and you have to realize that there isn't any staff in the evening. Once they leave at 7:30 p.m., you can't get a hold of anybody until the morning. Nevertheless, residents have buttons to press if there is an emergency. The food is excellent.
