I Visited This Community
Sunrise at Wood Ranch was a nice enough facility but I didn't like the attitude of the guy I was dealing with at all. They were $3,600 a month just for a studio, and then a $3,000 community fee. I talked to this guy and said, "Look, I like your facility, but you do what we call price match or something like this to entice somebody" and he's like "Oh no. These are our prices. We don't change and I don't want to badmouth the competition but there's got to be a reason for them to offer a promotion like this." He was insinuating that there was something wrong with the other facilities because of the promos. I walked out. The guy was very militant and adamant. It looked nice enough and fairly new. On first blush, it looked good, but once I started talking to their sales person or whoever it was I was dealing with, I soured really quick. If they're going to treat somebody like that who you're trying to sell, how are they going to treat you once you're in? The facility itself looked nice, but based on the attitude of that salesman, I'd give them 2 stars. The residents looked OK, like your regular seniors wandering around the place, but then they started talking about the pricing, what they're asking for the a la carte was more and drove the price right into the stratosphere.
