With 4 wonderful Care Homes to choose from right in the neighborhood, Gary Strathearn founded Santa Monica Home & Care in 1995 after a family member required hands-on care in a home-like environment and he couldn't find adequate resources in Santa Monica or the surrounding area. Family owned and operated with management living on-site, the team consists of Gary, Jennifer, Donna, and Svetlana.

Special Comment: Gary (Ph.D. in Biogeochemistry) has been on the faculty at UCLA and Santa Monica College and also consults in design of medical devices. Jennifer has been with the facility since 2010 and has a degree in culinary arts, certifications in yoga instruction and is licensed in residential care as an administrator. Donna, our activity director, who retired a short time ago from the medical field (optometry) now spends the day in socialization and social skills while directing activities for the clients. Our final team member, Svetlana, began her career as a caregiver, then soon progressed to manager and administrator, and is now continuing her education to become a nurse.
