Residents requiring assistance with life's daily activities enjoy all the benefits of independent living with the support of helpful services. We have on-site nursing available 24 hours a day, along with 24-hour medication management. Our full-service dining program offers three meals a day and snacks, and we also provide houskeeping and shuttle service.

I visited this facility
Brookdale San Jose was very nice. I liked it. It had a huge lobby and you can see the dining room. Maybe it could use a little updating, but it was clean and nice. The person who accommodated me during the tour was great. The dining room looked very nice, and they also had a computer area.

I visited this facility
We had a favorable impression of Brookdale San Jose. We put my mother on the waiting list. The staff was able to address a number of the residents by name. There seemed to be a good deal of activities and transportation to doctors' appointments. We visited three places and this was the preference. It's also closest to me and the lowest in price. The receptionist was just a bit brusque. We had lunch there and the dining area looked fine and the food was good enough. They offer two meals a day.

My mom will be moving into assisted living at Brookdale San Jose. It's a very nice, neat, and clean place. Everybody we've met has been very polite, helpful, and friendly. They have a whole bunch of different activities.

I visited this facility
Brookdale San Jose had a nice age range and a lot of social activities. It's near family and activities in the community, like live theater, and they provide transportation. My aunt also likes to be near shopping, so that particular location fulfills a lot of those requirements.

I visited this facility
Brookdale San Jose was big, clean, and friendly. The person who assisted me was very accommodating, very nice, and very informative. The food was good, and the people that live there say the food is good. They have lots of activities. They have themes every week. For example, it might be Italian week so they would serve Italian food.

I am/was a resident of this facility
I had moved into Brookdale San Jose. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and look very good. The staff is lovely, courteous, and topnotch. They listen and do everything to make you comfortable and happy. It's just a very nice, lovely place and everybody loves it over there. The dining area is beautiful, well-handled, and the staff is very courteous and does everything you ask them. However, the food is not cooked very well and not appealing-looking, so it's not as wonderful as the rest of the place.

I visited this facility
Brookdale San Jose was very clean. Everybody was polite and very nice. I have no negatives. I looked at a 2-bedroom and it was very livable. They have balconies and that would be something that would be of interest to my friend. The rooms were the best.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My father was in Brookdale independent living for 5 years, and it was a very positive experience. He was able to engage in the activities, and he made friends. The staff was friendly, and he had no complaints with the housekeeping.

I visited this facility
I'm not ready to make a decision right now, but what I saw at Brookdale San Jose was very nice. The area seemed adequate and clean. The lady that spoke to me and gave me a tour was very thorough and very honest. I would recommend Brookdale San Jose, it was one of the facilities that I thought looked good.
