We placed my mother at Nazareth Park Place, and they have been wonderful with us. What we liked there was the willingness of the staff to work with us and to listen to what our needs were along with what her needs were. They took the whole package and judged it, not just individually. It's an older facility without any stairs. It's very comfortable and felt more homey. I have not tried the food, but I have sat at the dining room when they were serving and the food smelled and looked good. For lunch, they had roasted turkey and gravy and vegetables, salad or soup, ice cream or chocolate pudding. I heard one gentleman ask if they could make him a sandwich for later and they did, all wrapped up so he could take it back to his room. It led me to believe that they are very hands on and the people felt comfortable asking for more or less. They offer a hairdresser or stylist who comes in and she has her own little room to do haircuts for the ladies. The price was a lot lower.

I was impressed by Nazareth Park Place. Their memory care unit was brand new and just opening. Mother would have been on the ground floor, so we had our choice of apartment. They had activities, a separate dining room, and nurses and chef on staff.
Nazareth Park Place of Sacramento had more of a convalescent hospital feel about it. It was a single floor with very wide hallways and doorways. It used to be a medical facility at one point. We were supposed to meet there to go to lunch, but nobodywas in the lobby area to greet us. I liked that the rooms had a sliding glass door that goes out into a central patio area that was quite nice. To me, that was the best feature of this facility.
Nazareth Park Place of Sacramento was a nice facility with nice, really good staff, too. We had lunch there, and the food was very good. The price was cheaper compared to other facilities, but it wasn’t as fancy. They put a lot of effort into providing good food, which the residents seemed to like. There is a hospital right across from the facility.
