We are leaning toward The Gardens of Riverside for my sister. Communication has been excellent. It's just all around an excellent experience. The rooms were sizable. The grounds were well maintained. It's just positive all around. The staff was caring, thoughtful, and sensitive. They had a beautiful open courtyard, animals on-site, and a lovely common-living area. People should definitely visit it as a consideration for a loved one.

My husband's aunt is in Westmont Village. It's beautiful. The dining room is like a very fancy restaurant. The people are so nice and the place is very clean. They have a lot of activities for the seniors, too. Right now with the pandemic, our aunt has been having a really hard time because we haven't been able to visit her, but they have assisted her many times to do Zoom calls, so it's really nice. They really do a good job. The place is really nice, and very fancy. I haven't really experienced their food as much, but my aunt always mentions that they have very good soup. She loves soup. By what she said, I believe food is really good.

I'm a current resident here in Raincross at Riverside. There've been more people moving in for a while and I don't know what the reason is. I'm on the second floor and there are nice trees to look at. I only have a room for a large television, a desk, a closet, and a little area here that they put together. It's just a very small room and that's one of my problems here. The staff are getting better. They don't always show up, but they're trying to improve it. That's one of the main problems they have here. We have water painting and I do that. We read the bible some days. I don't do that, but they do it. They have trouble getting people involved. I hardly get to see the directors. Some of the staff would come sometimes, but sometimes they don't. They are friendly and they'll make the bed. The grounds are pretty good, but I don't think it's a good layout. Some rooms are really small, some are big, and some have two bedrooms. There aren't rooms downstairs. My main complaint here is the food. They have improved a lot of activities.

I like Overture Riverwalk, but I'm having problems getting in because they said my credit rating was too low. I really want to move in there, but as of yet I haven't gotten the OK. The apartments were nice. It's close to where I live, it's in a nice area, and I like the programs.

I don’t know where to start because every aspect of this place is so poorly managed. The worst thing is that the meds are not always provided as they should be--meds these people need to survive. They seldom answer the emergency button in a timely manner. I\'ve known residents who have had to wait for hours. The food is the poorest quality you can buy. It is so dry, you can’t eat it. The rolls and bread are old and dried out. If you get a sandwich the meat is so thin that you can’t taste the meat. Fourth, they are consistently short on help. I have heard these \"professionals\" yell at residents and literally gang up on them. It is very rude and difficult on these elderly people. The residents are afraid to say anything because the staff and management all stick together, and if they find out you called the state or the ombudsman, they retaliate. As for the reviews for this facility, they do not reflect how this place is run now. Most of the reviews are 2018 or before, when this place was called the Meridian. It was decent back then. Please read the latest reviews. I would hope you wouldn\'t put your loved one in Arlington Riverside Senior Community without looking into every aspect of this facility. Much of the information on their website is from when it was The Meridian. Lately, they\'ve been sprucing up the outside--I expect to draw more residents. Don\'t be fooled, the money could be so much better spent on decent food and enough help. When you\'re in your 80s and only a few years left, this is not the place you want to spend your last hours, especially if you need assistance. Very little assistance is provided in this \"assisted living\" facility because there simply is not enough staff. I could go on and on with the problems. Just make sure you know what you\'re getting into.
