There are apartments to fit every residents needs. Most have kitchenettes with nice refrigerators and the walk in showers with safety grips are clean and comfortable. Most have heat lamps in the ceiling. Many rooms have balconies. The hallways reek with the odor of feces which they can't seem to control. Laundry room has commercial washers and dryers. The activities are plentiful with many excursions to dine out or scenic rides. The food is pretty good but they serve the same meals over and over too close together. Kind loving food servers, caretakers and MedTech's. They do not have 24 hour medically trained personnel. None of the medical staff can provide medical care that requires touching the body. The carpets are filthy in all the halls. The cafeteria is kept clean.

This facility has zero communication between staff. They do not read and or care if a patient has food allergies. In the 20 days my dad was in this facility he was served one food he is deathly allergic to... 5 times.

My dad lived here for about three years. Overall, the staff is good, hardworking, well trained, and attentive, and the atmosphere a positive and clean one for the residents. I was a bit disappointed with some issues in the weeks before and just after my dad’s death, both related to the hospice company and Yorkshire, but that’s beside the point now.

My mother moved into The Chateau At Harveston, and it is looking pretty good right now. I helped her move in and it looked good. I am seeing her weekly, and everything is looking good right now. They have activities, but she's not participating in any of those yet. We are trying to get her acclimated, and she's had some leg pains. I think it is sciatica, so we are trying to help her out with things, and getting her comfortable before she participates. The meals have been decent, they have shrimp, chicken, beef, pork, and some pretty good vegetables. The staff seems to be very friendly or helpful. I seem to like the food a little bit better than my mom does. They have an exercise room, a crafts room, and the place is in an area by Harveston lake, so you can utilize that. I haven't been able to get my mom out there yet. They have a ballroom where you eat, a courtyard, and a place where they watch movies. They have transportation to doctor's appointments, and out to different excursions.

My parents are in Vineyard Place. It's probably the cleanest, nicest, most beautifully decorated facility overall. It's a brand-new facility and newly built. They really enjoy the little courtyard that they have. They have a mini-golf or putting green, a lot of activities, really good food, and there's a chef who comes in. It's really just top notch. When my mom got in there, she was put up with a female roommate, and when my dad went in he was set up with a male roommate, so they have their own rooms. They have a beauty salon, they had a gardening day where they had little elevated planter boxes, and they have cookie days where they're rolling out or making cookie dough. They have activities for all the holidays, like if it's Valentine's Day they make Valentine's Day cards. For visits, they had to have scheduled appointments ahead of time. The visits are forty-five minutes, and they are in a room that's divided in half by a six-foot table -- they have a series of those. It's like the setup in a board room. At the beginning, they did all of their visiting outdoors and just recently returned to indoors. The staff is very friendly. They have performers come in, they have dancers in costumes, and they have musicians come in; it's really well done. Even though it's expensive, they're still probably $2000 cheaper than anyone else.
