I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My mother is a resident of Crescendo Senior Living of Placentia. Size-wise, it holds about 80 to 100 residents. It's two stories, and it's lovely. The moment I walked in it was warm, clean, and her apartment is very nice and big enough for her. The dining room is very nice, they have three meals a day, and the menu looked great. There isn't anything that they could want. Once a month they have a brunch for the families, they had a Thanksgiving brunch just last Thanksgiving. Its $10 per person, but the residents are free. They always have activities, the activity director is a sweetheart, and her name is Sandra. They're always doing stuff from trivia to zumba classes, and on Saturdays my mother does her nails. They also play cards, people come in to entertain them, and they have ice cream socials. When I come in, some of the elderly people wave to me. It's a very nice community and the people that work there are wonderful. They have a room upstairs that's kind of an activity room where they probably could exercise. Downstairs you have the offices and also toward the back of the apartments. But in the front, there's a dining room on one side and what I call the social hall on the other side where they can hang out. It's lovely with a fireplace, tables, and there's a little kitchenette with snacks and coffee. The have an activity room and they even do arts and crafts up there. They do have a hairdresser upstairs. It's very nice and convenient. My mom would sometimes trip and fall and they call me immediately. Most of the time she's OK, but they call me to let me know what's going on. They're always on top of things. The meals look good and when I go to the brunches the food is always good. The layout of the place is very nice, they remodeled a few years back and it looks really nice. They have to assist her with things, but for our value it's worth it. They raised prices recently, but we're still OK.

I Visited This Facility
Crescendo Senior Living of Placentia was an excellent place. It was a little too expensive for us but reasonable on the whole. They had very caring people. The facilities were really pretty and very upscale. They were very interested in a Montessori system of working with the elderly, which was very interesting. It was light and bright, and they had very attractive grounds. They had remodeled the building, so it was very nice. Compared to some of the other facilities that charge a lot more, it seemed like it would be pretty reasonable. I would recommend anybody to look into it.
