White Sands La Jolla's rooms were nice, clean, and functional. There were plenty of activities on-site and there was a van to take the residents into the local village. They also had a social coordinator, a library, pool, social room and a couple of cafeteria options. They're pretty nice there. Everyone I met was very friendly and had a very upbeat attitude.

White Sands La Jolla was nice because it was on the beach, but there were only a few very small, dingy apartments on the beach and it was kind of crowded. It used to be an old hotel before they made them into condos or apartments. There were some apartments on the east side of the campus not overlooking the ocean hat were noisy because they were on a street. It's a really nice place. They had a dining room overlooking the ocean which was facing west so they had to pull the blinds down to block the sun. They're doing a lot of remodeling right now.
