Desert Cove Assisted Living at Desert Hot Springs is our second choice. They have more staff than the place we chose, and it's a smaller community. It's in an open environment. Our concern was that during the winter time, or if it rains, or during the summer time it would be hot, and it would be too tough for the residents with the location being open and out in the desert. The living quarters are very nice. A unit had just opened up, and they were upgrading the unit. I spoke to the person running the work, and he said that whenever someone leaves they bring all the furniture out to clean and touch the place up, then bring the furniture back in. So they're very attentive to the living conditions. The units were all very nicely furnished and the staff we talked to was very cheerful and attentive.
