We have moved my mom into Ventana Winds. It is very convenient for my brother and me to visit with her. The other reason is that one of her friends lives there. We haven't had any problems with the place. I can see that my mom is being taken care of. The room that she has is big enough for her bed, armoire, small television, and entertainment center. She has her own bathroom. At first, my mom did not like the food, but she seems to like it now. My mom doesn't do the activities because she is in the Alzheimer's unit. However, I have seen them play cards and bingo. My mom will probably just sit there because she is not going to know what is truly going on. Nevertheless, my mom is very comfortable with the staff. The community is a bit pricey, and my mom is left with $100, but it is a very nice building.
