Newly opened in September 2015 on the north side of Glendale, MorningStar offers residents a lifestyle of comfort, wellness, and community within its warm and inviting common areas and contemporary décor. Although the truest expression of the MorningStar brand is centered on its warm and caring staff; more than any other factor, they make our home a true home.

Our Arrowhead community has 60 private assisted living suites on two levels, with spacious studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans (some over 600 square feet). We also have 25 secure suites devoted to the individualized care of those with memory impairment from Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related diseases within our Reflections Neighborhood, which is on its own one-story wing.

Beyond the impressive architectural features and extensive amenities, our highest goal is to create an atmosphere of love and community for our permanent and short-term respite care residents. And for our memory care residents, every day presents us with the opportunity to lovingly support choice and independence as much as possible and, above all, to affirm individual dignity and value.

MorningStar at Arrowhead’s Interior Design Wins National Kudos

After intense review by a panel of 20 jurors (architects, designers, industry providers and consultants), MorningStar at Arrowhead received Honorable Mention in the 2016 “Environments for Aging” Design Showcase. From hundreds of entries nationwide, MorningStar was one of only four projects found worthy of Honorable Mention.

In a separate competition…in the category of “Best Seniors Housing Community—Assisted Living,” MorningStar at Arrowhead was honored with an Award of Merit by the Pacific Coast Builders Association (a division of the National Home Builders Association) in its prestigious Gold Nugget Awards.

And, in yet another competition…

At a regional awards gala in August 2016, the American Society of Interior Designers named Thoma-Holec Design (MorningStar’s longtime interior design firm):
