McGuffey Healthcare Center was the Recipient of the AHCA Quality Award (Step 1) in 2003, the Alabama Quality Award (Level 1) in 2005, and the Alabama Quality Award (Level 2) in 2006 and 2007. The facility underwent complete renovation in 2006 to better to serve its residents and was named by U.S. News & World Report as one of the "Best Nursing Homes in Alabama."
