Brookdale Browns Creek is small, which we like because it's more personal. They've done a good job. My father seems to be adapting pretty well, and he likes it. The staff has been very helpful, very friendly, and quick to respond. We've been very happy with the care he's gotten there. He's in a studio apartment, which has a small area for the bedroom, a sitting area, and a private bath. The other room arrangement has a little foyer/kitchen when you first come in, then it goes into two separate rooms where you could have a sitting room and a bedroom. They have four or five activities through the day. They come and get him and remind him that they have something going on. They have groups come in and do music and sing, and today they went for a joyride. He's been happy with the food so far. The layout is good, and it's easy for him to get around. He likes to play games and I haven't seen them plan that many game activities, but they're planning on adding.

My overall impression of Brookdale Browns Creek when I visited was fine. Everything looked real good. The concern we have right now is that my husband has dementia and if he goes into this assisted living community, we'd be separated. The staff was good, they're really nice, and the people that I talked to told me so. They showed us around the place, and everything looked OK.
