The Breakers at Edgewater Beach is the one I'd really like to stay at. Without question, the interior and the atmosphere is very posh and I was very impressed. The place was attractive, alluring and comfortable. The staff that gave me the introduction of the place, particularly the manager of the organization there, was unbelievably magnetic. I just can't afford to stay at that particular location, but it was wonderful. I got the impression that their activities and amenities are very attractive for their residents there. They have community meetings, they have a bus to go to different attractions like shopping or museums, and they have the transportations for that. They also have workshops, a swimming pool, and all the attractions necessary to keep one happy.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Breakers at Edgewater Beach. The rooms were excellent, but I couldnt afford it. The living standard was great, and it was nice, clean, and accessible.

I've already signed up with The Breakers at Edgewater Beach. It is well maintained and in a very good neighborhood. The residents seem very active. One of them is the official greeter. Every staff member I met was very friendly and answered all my questions. They gave me a meal for free. They have selections on their menus for breakfast and dinner. My room is a one-bedroom corner unit with one window looking out over Lake Michigan and the other window looking out over both the city and Lake Michigan. Comparing this place with the others, they seem to have everything I was looking for.

The Breakers at Edgewater Beach's staff was lovely. Everybody was very pleasant, open, and talked to everybody. When I first got there, it didn't present itself as a wonderful place physically, and it wasn't what I expected initially, but once you get there and see it, it's a diamond-shaped building, which is perfect because you get an incredible view of the lake and the giant park in front with trees and greenery. It's gorgeous. They had a warm pool for lap swimming and exercises. It's terrific because you don't have to leave the building. The dining room is all glass ceilings and walls looking out over this huge expanse of greens and trees. It had a mix of people, which is what I'm looking for, religiously and ethnically. Scott, the person who toured me, was great, answered any questions, was honest, and told me that there's going to be an increase every year between three and five percent. If you're expecting something very upscale, it's not, but the upkeep is excellent.

The Breakers at Edgewater Beach offered a lot for the residents. It had a large indoor pool, a large gym area with equipment, and a huge library. I was greatly impressed. I was also offered lunch, which was excellent. The food was great. In terms of the cost, it was probably the most cost-efficient. They also had indoor parking, which is a plus in Chicago winters. The person who assisted me spent a lot of time with me. I was very grateful for all of the information and he showed me a number of different apartments in the facility.

My cousin was in Breakers for about a year and it was a very nice. They checked on the people on a daily basis. They would call you at breakfast and check on you if you did not respond. The cost was all inclusive for an efficiency room. They had maid service once a week, the dining room staff was very courteous, and 3 meals were served a day. They had washers and dryers on every floor, an exercise gym, computer room, and a swimming pool. They have Bingo, daily trips, and other social activities.

My friend is at The Breakers at Edgewater Beach. They serve meals and have everything there that the elderly would want, so they don't have to go out. They don't have to worry about their securit. The food is good; they get two meals a day. He is in a studio, which is really nice, and he loves it. They have a gym room, a pool, a theater room, and a main room in the lobby where all the old folks get together and chitchat. They got all kinds of daily programs. The location is up there in the ritzy neighborhood, which is really nice. The grounds had tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, a humongous sundeck, and a floor for dogs.

The atmosphere at The Breakers at Edgewater Beach was a little cold. It was very clean. The staff was fine, but the property manager who gave me the tour seemed a little aloof. It is for seniors, but not for those who have any issues. They don't have any programs for Mom. It's fine for healthy seniors. The dining room was lovely and the food was wonderful. They have laundry facilities, an exercise room, a swimming pool, and a bus that takes residents to and from different outings.

The Breakers at Edgewater Beach was nice but needed a lot of updating. The garage parking for the seniors was not very safe-looking. It was secured but dimly lit and not very comfortable for a senior to be entering alone. Even though they had great amenities available and the eating area looked very nice, they didn't have a lot of variety. The coloring, the painting, and the whole decor needed updates. The staff was great and very helpful.
