Oakwood Hills is a very lovely place. I'm well satisfied. They have cards, Bingo, and all kinds of things. The elderly people are well taken care of here. The food is great, and you have many choices. My apartment is well taken care of. The workers take a great interest in helping people.

Oakwood Hills is a nice community. The staff members seem fairly friendly. The rooms are small. The dining area is fair.

I would love to move back to Oakwood Hills, but they don’t have the call button to call for help, and they don't have 24-hour nursing care. It's a beautiful place, and it's in the location I want. There were no significant changes, they still don’t have a lot of scheduled activities for the residents. The staff member who assisted me during the recent tour was nice. I had a 1-bedroom apartment, it was roomy, and had kind of a hash kitchen. Their meals were wonderful and their food was unsurpassed. I can't believe how good it was.

Oakwood Hills is the one we like a lot. People are very friendly and very sweet. We like just about everything about that place. They invited us for lunch and sat us with a lady who knew a lot about the place, which was very nice. It seems like they always have some kind of activity going on. Every day something is going on. Then they make an announcement of what is going to be happening in the next couple of days. People can sign up to participate at that time, which is nice. There's a bus that takes them to different places for field trips, and they play bingo.

HeatherWood Assisted Living and Memory Care is an absolutely beautiful environment. The rooms are large and bright. The tour was a very pleasant experience for me. If I had a choice, that's where I would put my family; however, they can't accommodate the needs my parents have. Nevertheless, the person who assisted me was absolutely fantastic. She took a lot of time with me and answered every question I had. She also introduced me to a nurse on duty who answered my more nursing related questions. She was absolutely wonderful. They have a cook onsite who cooks much of their food from scratch. They have a garden that they grow, and they have fresh veggies that they put into their meals. So that was very appealing to me. The meals looked good.
