Located in a residential neighborhood of Northwest Spokane, Brookdale Nine Mile (formerly Clare Bridge of Spokane) offers outstanding care to seniors challenged by dementia and Alzheimer&#39;s. The combination of exploring the latest ideas in Alzheimer&#39;s and dementia care with over 25 years of healthcare experience makes us the best possible choice for seniors and their families.

At Brookdale Nine Mile we focus our efforts on aiding our residents&#39; abilities rather than disabilities. We realize those suffering from Alzheimer&#39;s or dementia are experiencing a complex and progressive disease process. We therefore provide, through our ISC (Innovative Senior Care) team, on-site, pro-active physical, occupational and speech therapies which complement the therapeutic services provided by our licensed nursing team.

Individuals working with memory loss residents must have compassion, understanding and creativity. Our staff are carefully selected and trained to understand and manage the unique challenges associated with dementia. Many of the same caregivers are with a resident throughout the day, giving them a sense of familiarity while they are helped with their daily needs.

We are one of 50 providers participating in the Specialized Dementia Care Program (SDCP) in the State of Washington, and we accepted SDCP approved payments.

In 2008 and 2009, our community was honored by ALFA (Assisted Living Federation of America) in receiving their distinguished award as Champions of Senior Living. In 2009, Brookdale Nine Mile celebrated its 10-year anniversary of providing specialized dementia care services to Spokane and surrounding communities.

We are conveniently located near the VA Medical Center, Holy Family Hospital, Deaconess Hospital and Sacred Heart Hospital Medical Center.

Our Meaningful Pursuits Activities program offers numerous activities every day, whether it is a themed party at the community or a trip to the Northwest Museum of Art and Culture, that allow our residents to kick back and enjoy life. On pleasant days, residents can be found outside strolling through Windriver Place&#39;s landscaped grounds or gathering on the patio.

Your loved one will no longer have to worry about the hassles of life&#39;s daily responsibilities, as our staff handles the weekly housekeeping, laundry service, apartment maintenance and trash removal. In the community dining room, our residents enjoy restaurant-style dining featuring nutritious, delicious meals. Scheduled transportation for running errands or for group outings is also provided.

We offer assisted living services, such as grooming, dressing or bathing, that are tailored to each resident&#39;s physical and health needs at Windriver Place. To meet our residents&#39; healthcare needs, our staff coordinate with each resident&#39;s physican and family to ensure that the desired level of care is delivered. Just a few minutes from our community are the Spokane Veteran Affairs Medical Center and the Deaconess Medical Center so your loved one won&#39;t have to travel far to receive treatment if needed.
