I visited this facility

We toured Cascadian Place. The place is very nice. It's definitely for independent living. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who gets confused easily because it is rather large to find your way around. The man that gave us the tour was great. Very helpful. What I liked least is that it was confusing for my mom to get around in because it's big. It seems very well kept up and clean. It's more like a hotel.

Cascadian Place is lovely. The staff is very attentive and the price is very reasonable. They serve three meals a day. It's a big dining room with heavy furniture and a view overlooking the cascades. The meals are adequate and varied. It's nice food, not institutional. They also have a bar setup and snacks available all day long. They have activities planned. They have washer and dryer on-site that's very accessible for residents. They have assigned parking spaces for those who still drive. My mom pays $2,175 for a studio apartment and she has her own bathroom with a kitchenette and an alcove for a bed. It's about 500 square feet and that includes all meals. The residents that live there are all independent. She has peers now, she's not isolated, and they have outings. I couldn't be happier.

Cascadian Place has everything my mother could ever want. She's still having a hard time adjusting, but they're very good in trying to get her involved in things. The food is delicious, it's great. They also have plenty of things to do, so we're very happy with the community. I met some of the staff members and they go out of their way to welcome people, and they know them by name almost immediately. They have a daily calendar that says what's going on at all times, they have movies, Wii bowling, ice cream socials, and so on. They always have something going on every day. It's also very reasonably priced. The place is beautiful, very clean, when you walk it's a very welcoming entryway, and doesn't look like a sterile doctor's office.

I visited this facility

Cascadian Place is wonderful, and it's the only place among those we visited that we liked. It's very homey, friendly, and very clean. They offer a variety of activities, and we loved the meal plan because they have three entrees you can choose from every day. Michael who gave us the tour was wonderful, helpful, he answered all our questions, and worked with us so we could get one of the only two units left. The food looked very good. We liked that they didn’t have a set menu and that they have really well-planned meals. They also have a complete coffee and tea bar, and a refrigerator with snacks for the residents to have whenever they want.

Business Response

Hi Michael, thank you so much for the feedback on your recent visit to Cascadian Place. We are glad to hear that everything went well and you were able to find a unit just for you. Please let us know if you have any further questions. We are looking forward to having you in the community soon!

Cascadian Place has been great. My father really likes it. I have no complaints. His room is just a studio with a little kitchenette, a counter with a sink, a place for a microwave, ample closet space, and an enclosed patio. They have a full calendar of activities. The staff is very professional, attentive, and helpful. I have no problems. It is independent living, although they have caregivers on-staff that help with medication, bathing, and whatever they need. They have a little chapel, laundry facilities, a movie area where they have a big screen TV with couches, and a library.

Business Response

Hi Jenny, thank you for sharing how much your father is enjoying living at Cascadian Place. We love providing a wide variety of engaging, fulfilling, and entertaining activities for our residents.

Our experience with Cascadian Place has been good so far. They serve three meals a day, they provide cable and Wi-Fi, and they have activities for the residents. They have a bus that takes the residents to their doctors' appointments. The staff is really nice to my mom, and I think that her stay there is priced appropriately.

Business Response

Hi there, we are glad to hear that your mom is doing well at Cascadian Place. We are always working to provide quality amenities and services for our residents at an affordable price. If there is anything that either of you need, please don't hesitate to reach out! We hope to see you again soon!

I visited this facility

Cascadian Place was very nice for an older population. It was OK but needs some work on the outside as well as some remodeling. The location is not great. It's a big place right on a very busy street above it. The people seemed to be OK. They can bring medical people in but there's no one on staff. You get one meal a day. John, the guy who took me around, was nice and answered questions. He seemed really busy, but he gave me all the information I needed. I think they do a good job. The place was clean, and the dining room was really nice and tables were well-set. It looked like it might be difficult to just go there and meet people since everybody's names were on the tables for lunch and dinner.

The man that showed me around Cascadian Place was just wonderful. He was really nice. I didn't know what to expect when I first came in, but eventually I got comfortable. I saw other people that were about my age and it seemed like it would be a whole lot better living there than living by myself. I liked the place and I had a very good impression of it. I saw a studio apartment, but I was more interested in the 1-bedroom apartment. They have shopping, Bingo, and crafts, all of which interest me.

I visited this facility

My husband liked Cascadian Place very much because the apartment that they showed us had a wrap-around deck. The last time we were there, they didn’t have the 2-bedroom apartment available and the parking was really bad. Their pricing was better than the other places, but they didn’t have a medical facility.
