The Watkins-Logan Texas State Veterans Home in Tyler, Texas opened in 2012 to provide a unique, first-class setting for up to 100 residents, including up to 20 Alzheimer's residents in a separate, secured unit. Created and operated exclusively for Texas veterans, their spouses and Gold Star parents, the Watkins-Logan home offers a one-of-a-kind family-style setting. An open kitchen, dining room and large table are at the heart of each of the 10 cottages, which host 10 private rooms.
