The staff member that I talked to at New Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care in Kyle was really knowledgeable. I think she was a pharmacist and she was really good. She was nice and knew everything about the place, and showed me all the rooms. They had a big room for family events and I liked the way that it was set up like a big house. You walk in the living room and there's a big fireplace. The community was really nice, it's smaller than the other place I visited, and it was clean. They had a chef there, and their kitchen is in the middle so you can see everything that's going on while they're cooking. So when you walk in it's a big open area, which was nice. They had a patio area with a gazebo outside that you could sit at. The community was clean, nice, and well kept.

Brookdale San Marcos South was really nice, and it still remains an option for my dad, so it was really a productive visit. The room was very nice, and actually bigger than others. They showed me activity rooms, the list of activities, and a movie/ library room. It seemed to be nice, and there seemed to be a lot of activities to do. It seemed like a very nice setup, too. I had positive interactions with the staff, they keep in touch, and they’re very good about following up. I liked their policies, they told me about their care, the staff seemed to be of the highest quality, and the availability was really good. They had physical therapy and occupational therapy on site which was a real plus. They have a system, for example when a patient called, it’s recorded electronically, and so it remains on record. Things like that are really exceptional. I visited the assisted living.
