Description of Ridgmar Place
Ridgmar Place is an independent living community that offers a vibrant lifestyle for active seniors. Residents can choose from a variety of spacious, well-appointed apartments that feature high ceilings, faux wood blinds, walk-in closets and fully equipped kitchens. Accommodation plans are inclusive of housekeeping, laundry and maintenance services, as well as delightful meals prepared by the in-house culinary team using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Although most residents don't require care services, these are available if needed.
With its modern amenities and full calendar of activities, the facility offers diverse opportunities that support productive living. The arts and crafts center caters to those with a creative spirit, while physical conditioning is achieved through tai chi and yoga classes at the fitness center. Planned trips to local theaters and recreational venues are arranged through the 24-hour concierge service, and personal transactions are conveniently done at the on-site banking center and post office.

Everyone at Brookdale Ridgmar is very friendly and the place is nicely decorated. They have so many activities all the time. We have movies at night and a live group came today to play really good music during happy hour. We have bean bag games, swimming exercise, crafts, and trips to the store. It's really nice. They serve three meals a day, the food is always really good. We had coconut shrimp today and use good beef for their burgers. I broke my arm in April, so they did my laundry for me. They clean every two weeks unless you want some special cleaning, like having your closet cleaned and straightened up, then you can pay an extra fee for that. They are a pet-friendly community, and they walk and bathe your dog. A nurse puts my pills together and talks to the doctor about my prescriptions then loads my prescriptions weekly. They have people who will help you get to the dining room. There's all kinds of help available. There are washer and dryers where you can wash your clothes for free, or you can hire help to do it for you. The apartments have kitchens. They just redone, retiled, and repainted the pool and spa. There's a beautiful fireplace in the front room. Churches come and drive people to churches on Sunday. Maintenance is a little slow, but the primary care nurses are fast. It's pretty good.
