It was a very nice place. The bus would come and take them shopping or to the movies, and they had a big calendar on the board with a lot of activities. They were keeping the folks active. They had studio, shared, and one-bedroom apartments. The staff during the tour was great, explained a lot, and was very helpful. They also had a memory care facility. You buy tickets, so you can eat there with your friends or relatives. It's a little bit smaller than others, so people seemed more centralized.

MonteVista at Coronado was the number one choice for my mom. It had beautiful grounds and beautiful apartments. It was very comfortable, quiet, and clean. It looked almost like an upscale residential hotel. The people were nice, and it was by far the nicest place I've seen in El Paso.

Montevista at Coronado was very roomy, clean, and friendly. The food was good and they make an effort with regard to the activities. They watch movies, play card games, have exercising, and a library. It's a very nice place and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Home was a very impressive place. The rooms weren't overly spacious but they were in good shape. I was very impressed with their dining room. I saw a staff member very gently moving an elderly gentleman out from the sun because he was very concerned of him getting burnt. They had a well manicured garden area and a covered patio. Overall, the place was very beautiful.

Montevista at Coronado was expensive and they were not good value for the cost. It looked kind of rundown even though they're trying to pretend that they're very concerned with everything. It was an older place (probably around 25 years old). One thing that they use as a selling point was that they will do things to any apartment that you choose to make it more personal. In one apartment, we saw that they built a sunroom off of the patio. The location was nice, up on the mountain, but very isolated.
