My aunt is a resident of Lyndale Abilene. Right now, it's in lockdown, so there's limited visiting. I have to have a PCR test every two weeks in order to get in. When you get in, you have to visit for an hour, you have to arrange a visit 48 hours in advance, and I understand all that, except they still have had COVID cases. Other than that, it's nice, it's spacious, it's clean. They are pretty good about their updates, they do internet updates, and email updates. It's airy, it's a fairly new facility, it's well kept, and it has a nice atmosphere.

I visited Lyndale Abilene. It was smaller than the other places, and more expensive. There were people playing cards and dominoes. The staff was wonderful. I saw the exercise room, dining room, and they showed me the entire place. There was no laundry facility in the room, and that's what most women want. The facilities were very nice, and larger in the main area. They had outside facilities.

Covenant Place of Abilene is an older community, but it's also very nice, and the people are very friendly. They carry people through memory care but they're officially listed as assisted living. The staff member who assisted me during the tour was very nice and friendly. All their rooms are studios, they have a courtyard, a little exercise room, and so forth. They have daily activities as well.

Lyndale Abilene was beautiful but it's all private pay. I loved it. Its clean and it's a nice environment. The staff who took me on the tour was very knowledgeable and friendly. They had a vast variety of different things. They have a piano and a beauty salon. The dining room is clean, personable, and they take your order. They also understand who they're dealing with so they will actually bring a plate or two and say "We have this and this, which one would you like?" The place was very homey.

Lyndale Abilene was very good, it was friendly, and a very clean place. They even checked back with me a few times. The apartments were beautiful. They take them on outings, they go shopping, they have activities at the place if they want to watch movies, and special meals, and that would be helpful for my brother. I liked the availability, the appearance, and the care. The staff was very helpful. They check on them several times a day. I like that when you wake up in the apartment you need to push a bell, and theyll know youre up and that youre OK.
The median cost of independent living in Abilene for a single-occupancy apartment is $1,910/month (SeniorHomes.com - 2015). This monthly cost typically includes rent, utilities, dining, housekeeping and transportation.
