Continuing Care Community in Oak Ridge, Tennessee

We were pretty impressed with The Guest House at Alexander Inn. It was a nice place, but they didn't have the level of care that my mother would need. They had a one price policy that included as much assistance as you needed, but my mother would've been on the high end of that and we're a little concerned we would expect to have to pay more to get a higher level of service there. They said they would take care of any of her needs, but she might not get the level of care she needs since she is pretty much deaf and blind and would need a lot of special assistance. But overall, we were quite impressed with the facilities and they had a lot of nice amenities. They had a bar for the residents and nice dining facilities. They seemed to have a good system going on there. We liked the rooms, which were very nicely done, and they had kitchenettes. The rooms were a very good size and the pricing seemed to be on the reasonable side for what you got. The menu and the meals they served were pretty nice.

I toured Alexander Guest House. It's an old historical building. The people who own it bought it and fixed it up as an assisted living and memory care facility. It is easy to get to, the grounds are well-maintained, and the whole facility looked very nice. They had several room selections, and it was a good variety. The dining area had a big lunch counter and they had a lot of activities.

The Guest House at Alexander Inn is beautiful, very modern, very warm, and inviting. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The food is delicious. My mother-in-law has a beautiful corner room and they have done everything they can to fix it up as we've requested. She has done some off-site things with them and loves to play Bingo. They have had special events like a senior prom, antique car show, and Hawaiian luau. They have a lot of activities for the residents.
