Ashbridge Manor was my second choice. It's a former hotel and it's right across the street from a shopping center. It still had a hotel feel to it. I could afford it, but it was a little bit expensive. While I was talking to the sales manager, a deaf resident came down and had an appointment with somebody there about her hearing aid, and the man I was talking to started yelling at her. I thought he should've just taken a piece of paper to write to her; that turned me off instantly. The apartments were very nice and they had a lovely lobby. They had several different apartments with different configurations. It's a very attractive building.

St. Martha's staff has been helpful. The rooms are nice. They play bingo and they go on trips to the grocery store. They have an outdoor sitting area. It's moderately priced in comparison to other places around them.

St. Martha Villa is pretty nice. They have a very small physical therapy department. They do a lot of different activities like aerobics, there's a Catholic church on the premises, Bingo, music, and movie day. My mom's a heavy Catholic so it works for her. They have pretty good care compared to other places she has been to.
