Description of White Dove Foster Home
Dove Home Health Services offers a variety of home care designed with your needs in mind.
Foremost, Dove Home Health is well-established as a premier Adult Foster Care located in beautiful Eastmoreland in Portland, Oregon, near the exquisite Eastmoreland Golf Course, Reed College Campus and Crystal Springs Park, complete with lovely lakes and waterfalls.
Located in a quiet, tree-shaded subdivision, seasonal views are a treat for each resident. Visitors and residents enjoy the beauty of the home with its lovely koi pond, gardens, and citrus trees. Inside soaring ceilings, beautiful antiques, and a striking square-grand piano fill this home with a warm ambiance.
In house, Dove Home Health provides 24-hour care for wheelchair clients; stroke/handicapped victims; memory loss clients; and clients who are incontinent or have other medical problems. All residents are overseen by our in-house RN, OrvaLee Farris. Additional services include general health monitoring; dispensing and ordering of all medication; visits by a professional hairdresser; in-home physical therapy, dental, and lab services; and a mobile x-ray unit. All residents are offered a delicious balanced diet prepared on-site. Residents may eat in their rooms, enjoy the company of other residents, or sit with family members at the dining table. Dove offers many enjoyable activities. One favorite activity is our roaming musicians who sing favorite songs in private concerts. Because of our loving care and the quality of life that we offer, a vacancy at DHH is a rare and notable event.
However, our health care services does not end in our house. We will gladly bring our personal touch and professional health care services into YOUR home. We understand those times of life when you need to bring an expert onto your team with their understanding to make things work. This is where Dove steps in again! We are skilled at meeting your medical needs with a team approach. You'll love our creativity as we coordinate your care with your doctor, listen to his orders for your particular situation and work to make those things happen in your life in a "doable" way so you can remain as independent as possible. We'll go over your medication list (or even create one) with our trained, professional eye that will see what you might miss, evaluate your current situation for any drug interactions or possible side effects that can complicate your situation. We'll fax your list to your doctor and get his signature. From here changes are easily done and prescription refills become a breeze. As we work with you on an ongoing basis, we'll stay on top of the correspondence with the doctor so he can verify your specific medications. Then you have the peace of mind of having a precise list in your hand. At Dove, we coordinate what might seem overwhelming. We know the language, know the tools and equipment available to you, and know how to make things happen! We have the inspiration to offer options that might work for your particular situation and the resources to coordinate treatments and daily caregiving.
As professional RN's, we respect your wishes and choices, and offer you over 20 years of kind, loving, professional experience with adult and geriatric care. We know how to take out all the confusion and chaos, implement simple step-by-step principles, and end those feelings of being overwhelmed. Financially, we will work with you compassionately and will discuss our private pay fees on a case-by-case basis. At this time, Medicaid does not cover payment for our services.
