I chose Gateway Care and Retirement because it was recommended to us and they met my criteria of three meals a day, weekly cleaning, changing bed linens, and it was in the general area I was looking for. The service is good. They live up to expectations. I came down here several times before I moved in and checked the place out and it was as advertised. The staff is excellent. The food is very good. They have a Friday night happy hour I participate in. It's unusual for a retirement home, so that part is good.
