After multiple issues with this place and dealing with Amanda we were recommended by APS to remove our family member. Even APS said its one of the worst places as he has had multiple complaints amd issues with that place.

The Risen Son looked nice from the outside. They even had a parking place and the place is very clean, and the staff seemed to be very polite. The rooms for people that have problems like Alzheimer's were very small though. I saw an activity room. I don't recall the activities that were on there, but they did have a calendar up and it listed all the activities that they did. I just talked to them and they were very polite, and anything I asked they took me to. I think the staff was good. They seemed to be very polite, they dressed nice, clean, and seemed to be nice with the patients that were around. They told me there was an outdoor area for patients that were able to go outside. They could take some out in wheelchairs, there was a concrete area that they could take them out to, right to the edge where they said they had flowers and trees planted.

It was very nice, but if you get sick, you get sent some place else. The people were very friendly, and they were having a wine social when we were there. It would be a nice place to live for somebody, but I couldn't afford it. Their apartments were nice, and they had a little nook outside your apartment you can decorate for yourself. There were a lot of things going on there. The staff was very nice. It's very clean, and it's quiet in there. Everybody seems to get along.

My mother has been living in Robbinswood Assisted Living. It has been fine. They have medical staff too. Everything is great. My mother has a private room. She has her own bathroom. It is a typical retirement home. They have lots of activities going on. They bring the people outdoors everyday, and they let them sit out when the weather is good. My mother is happy there. The staff is excellent. The food is very good too. Because my mother is a diabetic, they make special meals for her. It is all good and it's all covered medically. They have a good thing going. My mother has a hot meal for dinner, but they come around at 8 p.m. and bring snacks too. The place is very nice. They have an occupational therapist right there all the time. For me, the price is high, but it is in line with everything else.

My ex-husband lived at American House Jenison. It's a very nice place. It's beautiful. The grounds and everything, even the outside seemed real nice. It's divided up into several buildings. It seemed like there were so many staff members, and they were very nice and very friendly. It was just way overpriced. They have cards and movies, and they do outings.
Go a bit further out to explore pricing and amenities.
