I've been at Sand Plum Assisted Living a couple different times. The gentleman who assisted me was very kind and explanatory of the whole community. The dining area is well-lit and looks good. It's a little bit separated from the rest of the community, but it's open so as the staff is going about other different things, they can watch and see into the dining area. The building itself is a little bit aged, and they're in the process of doing some renovations. The layout is nice, and there are different rooms that have access to the outside through a little porch. Then there are rooms for memory care where their porch goes into an enclosed patio. The rooms were larger because it's an older place, and there's more storage space in the closets and bathrooms. The staff's kindness and attention are good, but I don't think they have enough staff members.

My parents are residents of Sand Plum Assisted Living, and I think that it's a good value for the price you pay. They're short on staff and undergoing a staffing change. The food isn't terrible, but it could be better. The grounds look nice. My parents' room is a little older, but it's a decent size. They are also activities for the residents, and they take them to Walmart and the doctors on certain days.
Go a bit further out to explore pricing and amenities.
