My mother was at The Gardens of Statesville. I was very pleased with it when she was there. The people who work there were amazing. I felt like they cared for her the same way they would if she were a member of their family. They really did an amazing job. They're very attentive and it felt very comfortable and home-like. Her specific room was very nice and large, and she had her own bathroom with a shower and closet, and a nice big window where she could look out. They had a nice community room and lobby. They had a little living room area that was central on her hall that if you had a lot of family members, you could sit in there. I was very pleased with her room. We took her furniture because it wasn't furnished. All in all, I was very pleased with The Gardens when she was there. It was not a locked facility, but when necessary, they would put an ankle monitor.
