Lenoir Assisted Living was our first choice community. We liked it because it wasn't that large and it was really nice. They showed us the memory care, we saw the rooms that were nice and clean, large, airy, and fresh. They showed us the bathrooms where the residents shower, and we saw the nurse's station there. They also took us to the dining area, which really impressed us, because you can bring your families there for birthday parties. They have a day room for the dementia patients with a TV and not a lot of furniture, which was good. They also have a beauty parlor, and a chapel for Sunday services. That was on the other side of the community where the general population is. The staff was extremely nice, including the young man who showed us around. It was just a beautiful, skilled care community.
