Carillon Assisted Living had a nice staff. The place was nice, well-done, and there was a nice presentation of the grounds and the facility. They play bingo and go on outings.

My mother was at The Gardens of Statesville. I was very pleased with it when she was there. The people who work there were amazing. I felt like they cared for her the same way they would if she were a member of their family. They really did an amazing job. They're very attentive and it felt very comfortable and home-like. Her specific room was very nice and large, and she had her own bathroom with a shower and closet, and a nice big window where she could look out. They had a nice community room and lobby. They had a little living room area that was central on her hall that if you had a lot of family members, you could sit in there. I was very pleased with her room. We took her furniture because it wasn't furnished. All in all, I was very pleased with The Gardens when she was there. It was not a locked facility, but when necessary, they would put an ankle monitor.

The general appearance is excellent. They're taking very good care of it. The person who showed us around was exceptional and the dining area was also very good. They had quite a few activities going on, one of them being the cornhole game. All the elderly people were crowded around it in the activity room and they were all playing it, so it was really good.
