My husband and I will be moving into Village on the Park - Oklahoma City. They're very friendly, welcoming, and I think it will be a successful living condition for us. The staff was very nice. The client representative was excellent, and the director was very friendly and considerate of what we might need. The apartment was just under 300 square feet, so for two people it's small, but it's livable. We're moving into independent living, but my husband will be moving into assisted living when that's available. They have a library, courtyards, a nice park across the street, a small exercise room, and an exercise activity three days a week. There's a canasta group that they're starting, which I love because I play canasta. Three meals a day for both of us will be advantageous, and a medical facility is available for us as needed. Housekeeping once a week is included, which includes washing the sheets. I would need to do the rest of the laundry, but they have laundry facilities there for no charge. They have eight or ten washers and dryers; you just go and help yourself. I met three staff members, and they were very nice, competent, and very knowledgeable.

Rambling Oaks Assisted Living has been very nice. Up until the coronavirus, I was allowed to go and visit any time that I wanted. Everybody seemed really nice, and the place was clean. The rooms are really nice and they have different room sizes. Some of them have doors that go out into the courtyard while some don't. They have a living area, a bedroom area, a bathroom, walk-in closet and a kitchenette. They offered for me to try their meals but I haven't tried it yet. The staff had been very friendly and helpful, they also set up like a Facetime chat so I can talk to my loved one during the lockdown.

The staff who gave the tour at Rambling Oaks was really friendly. She showed us all around the building and explained everything, and she also gave us written information about it. The rooms we saw were smaller ones. They also talked about the activities.

My brother is now at Legend at Rivendell. It is very impressive. The staff is very friendly. I know all of them. They have my number and they text me all the time. They send me pictures of my brother and tell me how he is doing. I couldn't have found a better place. They have different activities set up. They also have things set up where they go places once a week. They have in-house doctors and an in-house nursing staff. It is just a really good place. It is fully staffed too. The dining area is like a four-star restaurant. The place doesn't even remind you of a facility, and my brother has an apartment with a living room and a bedroom. They do a lot of activities. The activities director is a young guy who is very spirited. He really gets involved with the people.

My visit at Rivermont was fun. The place was very nice. The rooms they showed me were very nice and pleasant, and they had a lot of amenities. It's a really nice community. They had in-dining where you can put your own food, a beauty salon, a library, and activities. The staff who gave me the tour was very informative so I had a very good tour of the community. The staff member showed me all they have and he was very pleasant.

We visited Rivermont Retirement Community. They were wonderful. Thats where I would have put my mom. It was clean and really nice. They were so helpful when I was talking to them, and they gave us a really great tour. They bring people in, have games, puzzles, and a lot of activities. The dining area was really nice, and everybody could come, sit at the table, and talk. They have a meal plan, but you can also order off a menu. The common areas felt comfortable, and they have a library.

Sommerset Neighborhood was very nice, not quite as fancy as other places, but very comfortable. The person who gave me the tour was very helpful. The rooms are nice. I liked the layout. It's kind of like an open area layout. Instead of a door they have a big opening, which I kind of like. They have a nice selection on their menu as well as some alternatives. It's Christian-based so they have a bit more bible devotionals and church-related activities, which we liked as well.

The staff at Brookdale Norman was very attentive and nice. The rooms were nice, and they had one-bedrooms, which were more like little apartments, as well as studios. They had all kinds of programs available for the seniors. The folks and the staff seemed very happy. It's a smaller facility, like a square with two hallways and rooms down both hallways. I would highly recommend them.

My mom is living at Rivermont. We chose it because it is nice and clean, and they have strong service. The staff members are good. It's really a place where residents can do things on their own, but it's fine. They have dominoes, puzzles, bowling, quilting, and cooking. They have a place where they can drink tea and coffee. They do a lot of things with them. The value is good too.
