I am very satisfied here at The Hearth at Greenpoint. The food is good, the rooms are nice and clean, the services are good, the people are good, and I'm happy. I've been here for three years now. They offer one-bedroom apartments and two-bedroom apartments. We have daily activities, like rides, entertainment or sitcoms to keep the residents busy. They are just resuming things now, but they have everything.

Brookdale Liverpool was nice but not as fancy as the other places I visited. They also couldn't accommodate people that needed more assistance. When I checked them out they seemed to be having some staffing issues and were having trouble retaining people. My tour was good, it was all on one floor which was good. Their dining was a little bit crowded, but other than that I like the place. They had a lot of turnover but everybody was polite and helpful. The high staff turnover was the only negative I saw about it. They only have single rooms that were like a studio apartment.

The people at Brookdale Liverpool were gracious and accommodating, but my mother took an instant dislike to the place. Compared to the other places, it felt and smelled more institutional. The staff was very accommodating, very nice, very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and were on time. The facility needs to be freshened up. It's dark and looked and felt institutional. The rooms were in need of an upgrade as well and they were small.

My friend is moving into Brookdale Liverpool for respite care. It's full of light, it's airy, the halls are wide, and the rooms are unbelievable. I would like to go spend a weekend there. They're beautiful. He can have cable TV there. They're great. The community seems good. The staff and the residents are happy. The cafeteria is beautiful, and the menu is great. I can't wait to get him in there. We went through a room full of bingo, and they had a big theater room with popcorn and snacks. When you walk into the place, there's an impression of lightness. It's like a hotel lobby, it's clean, and has no odors. He's going to be in quite a small room. I'm hoping they'll encourage him to get out into the halls. The upper management has been there for ten years or more.

I'm happy with Keepsake Village at Greenpoint. The manager was wonderful and I was very pleased with how I was treated. They had an arts and crafts area, games, open TV area, cards, bowling game, and outside activities in the summertime. The room was beautiful. Their base price was the same as the other places, but it included more. The people I dealt with were wonderful. They had me talk to residents and seemed really happy.
