I am a friend or relative of a current/past residentMy aunt is here and from what I've seen, it's fantastic. I'd like to have a room there. The staff during the tour was very nice, and even after, I can't believe how nice everybody is. They answered all my questions and even contacted me on the weekends to see how everything was going. They're very caring from what I've seen so far. Her studio is cute, and she actually slept better on her first night there. She woke up only twice at night but went right back to sleep. When she was in her place by herself in Queens, when she woke up in the middle of the night, she stayed up all night. For the first night, that's pretty good, so she must've been comfortable and felt safe and secure.
Right now, the activities are limited because of Covid, but they're gonna be starting to have little groups like games, and they're starting up with Pokeno and bingo. Because of Covid, they have a few restrictions, but I've seen residents walking down the hall or roaming down the hall. They have a courtyard, which is nice, and they have a big room where they do crafts, a separate room for activities, and on her hall, there is a kitchen area if they want to cook something. There's a full-size refrigerator, oven, stove, a microwave and a dishwasher and a sink, and it looks like a kitchenette, so they could feel more that they could do stuff on their own.
I really have nothing to complain about now. I've been amazed at everything. The staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to help you out. My aunt said she's content with the food. It's like a hotel when you go in, and the halls are carpeted. There's no smell, it doesn't stink like a nursing home, and the carpets are clean. Everything's clean. It's like a hotel room that you get to decorate yourself. The price is very reasonable. They're not having the dining room because of Covid. I did a live virtual tour, and the first time I saw the place was when my aunt moved in, and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't know what to expect other than what I saw there, but actually being there was a lot nicer than the walkthrough.
