My husband has been a resident at St. Johns Woodlands for one year. He was in rehab for 3 weeks after hospitalization with Covid. He received excellent rehab and was dismissed to go home after 3 weeks. He went home for five days and we realized he needed to be a full time resident at a nursing home. St. Johns was our first choice and 3 days later he was admitted to a 3rd floor room. The room is spacious and very comfortable. He has a wonderful view of the lake and eagles nests and the parking lot. We purchased a lift recliner for him and he has an extra large bed which is perfect for him. We do enjoy the spacious lounges and large room that he has at St. Johns. The care that he receives from the nurses is outstanding. They ALL have made the transition from our home very adaptable and enjoyable. They are unique in their excellent care for Bernie. The activity planners are phenomenal also. They know my husband personally and treat him like a loved one of their family. Many of his visitors have commented on the beautiful facilities and fantastic care that Bernie receives every day. The food is also very good. Bernie usually has a clean plate and comments that the meal was very good. When Bernie was first at St. Johns ,they served fish every Friday. He is very happy that they do not do that any more. He would ask for a hamburger or a grilled cheese sandwich and the cooks always were ready to meet his desire. His favorite breakfast is biscuits and gravy. If he could chose he would have that every day. St. Johns Woodland is a caring, giving, loving,amazing and perfect facility for our family.I have recommended St. Johns to many folks and just last week 2 residents were admitted because of my recommendation.
