I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
Shelby Nursing and Rehab (Shelby Nursing Center) is very nice and well-appointed. It's got a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services and I can see why. The therapy and nursing care were very good when my aunt stayed there. The dining room was nice. My aunt's room was homey, spacious, and set up almost like an apartment. They had some singalongs that she participated in, musical entertainment coming in, and mass. My aunt liked the afternoon ice cream social. There was just a snafu with her discharge date. The therapy staff would get 5 stars, but the social worker who was assigned to her case would get 3 stars because she was terrible and we let her supervisor know that as well.
