Home Helpers Home Care of Olney

Since 1997, Home Helpers has provided in-home care services for seniors, new moms, veterans, working parents, those recuperating from illness or surgery and those needing continuing care for lifelong challenges. Services are also provided in retirement communities, nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and others, from a minimum of four hours per day up to 24 hours per day, depending on need.

Home Helpers of Olney’ services include: personal care, companionship, laundry, errands, prescription pickup and medication reminders, transportation to and from the hospital, doctor’s office, or community activities, 24/7 home monitoring and assistance, grocery shopping, meals provided or prepped, light housekeeping, dressing, bathing, toileting assistance, pet care, and care transparency combined with communication with family members.

Home Helpers of Olney selects, screens, and trains caregivers to provide compassionate care that meets high standards. All caregivers must complete a background check, follow daily COVID check-in protocols prior to beginning work, wear PPE and follow CDC guidelines, provide current CPR and first aid certifications, updated required immunizations and health checks. In addition, caregivers successfully complete State of Maryland required initial training and additional Home Helpers ongoing training. Management and a registered nurse also provide quality assurance of service delivery with ongoing assessments and follow-ups with both the client and their family.
