For our residents who will be enjoying the Independent or Assisted Living lifestyle, we provide beautiful spacious one or two-bedroom units.&nbsp;We provide 3 meals a day in our beautiful dining rooms, medication assistance, medication management, activity programs that are all based on residents preferences. Transportation is provided to our residents who need to get to places of worship, doctors appointments, and shopping. To ensure that residents are always receiving the assistance they need we provide assistance with toileting, bathing, ambulating, and dressing.

We make sure to provide many services to ensure our residents safety at all times we provide coordination of care with the residents personal physician, professional&nbsp;housekeeping and linen services. Gorham House

The newly renovated Holiday Woods at Canco is a pet-friendly, independent senior living community located in Portland, Maine less than five miles north of the historic Old Port and Waterfront District.

Woods at Canco features spacious senior apartments available in studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans as well as separate cottages. Each unit includes modern amenities like a kitchenette, washer and dryer hookups, and individual thermostat control. Select floor plans feature a patio or balcony, providing residents with their own private outdoor space. Garage parking is also available.

The well-maintained grounds feature a garden and gathering space. Indoor common areas are designed to foster engagement and include an event space, theater, fitness center, and private dining room. A well-stocked library is available for book clubs or solo readers, and residents enjoy the convenience of an on-site barber shop and beauty salon as well as a large screen TV lounge and cozy fireplace.

The community offers a wide range of all-inclusive services and amenities, such as housekeeping, light linen services, and a calendar of social events. Three freshly prepared meals are served each day in the dining room, with a variety of menu options crafted by the culinary team. Scheduled transportation is also available for appointments, outings, and errands.

Upon move-in, each resident receives a wearable Lively® Mobile Plus GPS device, which provides 24/7 emergency medical and personal assistance both within the community and outside it. Home care services are available on-site from third-party providers for an additional fee.

Woods at Canco is less than a 10-minute drive from the MaineHealth Maine Medical Center, Susan's Fish-n-Chips, and scenic Edward Payson Park.
