Holiday Grasslands Estates

My father is in Grasslands Estates. It is a really great place and it's going well. I haven't heard my daughter say anything negative about it. It was very clean when we looked at it it was very similar to the place he first lived, so it was like going home for him. It was very familiar, so it wasn't a shock to him. He was able to afford a one-bedroom there. They serve very nice meals three times a day. He's gets housekeeping once a week, there's free laundry down the hall from him, they go on trips to Wal-Mart, and they always take him to his doctors' appointments, so he doesn't have to have a car. They have games and little trips here and there. It's not like in a nursing home. He's more in like a senior apartment. They have a package that's very reasonable to have people come in and help him if he needs some assistance. They can stay there even if you need assisted living. I could get the full package there for assisted living plus his room cheaper than what I was paying for assisted living out here. The staff was great and very friendly. They made sure that he went down and had his first meal and they set him with some nice people. They also got him moving within the community. It's very reasonable.

I was very impressed with Grasslands Estates. The apartments were neat, orderly, up-to-date, and well kept. It was positive. There were people doing exercises and in the library. There were people outside visiting, and a lady volunteering to do some stuff around the tables in the dining room. The lady I interviewed said that they never used to use their clients to do any volunteer work, but they found out that seniors want to be active as much as they can, so that's what they're doing, and I appreciated that. The menu looked good, and the dining area was beautiful, functional, and appealing. They had a beauty shop, and the library was well stocked.

My aunt liked Grasslands Estates. The people were nice. They play games and they take them on a bus to go to the shopping centers. They have plenty for her to do. The dining area was real nice. The staff was very helpful. It's a nice place.

Mother moved into Grasslands Estates, and she likes the activities. They have Wii bowling, exercise classes, and she does knitting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a really nice dining area, it's large, it has nice windows, real light, and the food is very good. However, the price is a little high for us to come in and eat with her.

The apartments at Grasslands Estates were nice, clean, spacious, and very comfortable-looking. The staff member that we met was easy to get along with and they went out of their way to help. They have a little workout room, which I thought was OK, and when we were there they were doing Show and Tell. That was pretty nice. The dining area was spacious and clean, and the view from the balconies was nice.

Grasslands Estates's rooms had a kitchenette where you could have a microwave and there was a laundry room just down the hall. It had a lot of good points. The lady who showed me around was excellent and very nice. They have a choice of elevator or stairs and it's easy to get to a room.

We really liked the Grasslands. It was a very clean and very nice facility. The people were friendly and the staff I met were nice and more than willing to attend to our needs. The apartments were very large, spacious, with easy to access appliances, bathroom with rails, and set up in an easy to maneuver around area. The grounds were very clean, and very well-manicured.

Our visit to Grassland Estates was very good. My sister feels very welcome. The staff was welcoming. The first time we walked in the door, our names were on the board with "welcome," and they served us warm cookies. It's such a lovely place and perfect for her. The rooms are very clean and handicapped-accessible, so it's working out well for her. I like the roomy patio area. The food is very good.

I'm living in Grasslands Estates. Right now, because of the virus, when we go to the cafeteria, it has to be one person to a table; where before there were four to a table. They bring the food to the apartment right now. I like that. I don't like that we've had to curtail some of the activities that we had before, but it's understandable why. I also have a backdoor that I can go out and walk the sidewalk around the whole facility, and I like that. I'm putting out flowers and things like that for next year. It is nice.

My mother really likes Grasslands Estates. It's a good facility for her. She is enjoying her life there. She said they could always use a little more staff. The food is OK, but it could be improved some. She has things going on all week, and she's very happy with that. They're taking them all over, and they have a lot of activities internally. Her apartment is very nice and the right size for her.

Grasslands Estates had a nice library and the food was good. It only had independent living and we were looking for a place where it's independent and you're able to go over to assisted living if needed. The community was nice, and the rooms were nice but small. There were a couple of them that didn't have kitchens, so you'll have to go to a community place to do any cooking. And we would want to cook for ourselves if we wanted to. The staff and the building were very nice.

Grasslands Estates is purely independent. The rooms were satisfactory. I have two puppies and they would let me bring them, but I would have to pay extra. The staff was very nice and very good to the people that lived there. They have scheduled trips to doctors appointments, or if you want to get your hair done. The building itself was OK. You can schedule a couple of nights to stay over so you can see what it's like. However, they called and told me that I may want to cancel because they found bedbugs.

Grasslands Estates was very beautiful. Some of the rooms were really small, but it was beautiful. The tour guide was wonderful. The dining area was very nice. We ate a good lunch in a restaurant-style setting. Both my mom and I thought it was very nice. They had a salon, a TV room, activities scheduled all the time, a washer and dryer on-site, and included utilities, including cable.

Grasslands Estates was nice. I would have stayed there if it was in my price-range. I enjoyed my tour and have no complaints about it. Everybody was super nice, I spoke to several staff members and they were all friendly and helpful. I also talked to some of the residents who said they had no complaints about the staff. There were activities for the residents. I had lunch there and the selection and portions were good. They just needed more servers and help in the dining area because there's a pretty long wait to get served.

Grasslands Estates was good, and the staff was friendly. It was a great place with great, big furnished apartments and a nice dining facility. They had a crafts room and a game room.

Our tour at Grasslands Estates was very nice. They were very nice people. We had lunch there. However, there were a couple of things I didn't like about it. They do everything for you and I didn't want that much assistance; I wanted to be more independent. The whole place is totally enclosed. Everybody lives in their own apartment, but they're all connected. You all eat in a big dining room, but if you're sitting at the back table, it is going to be a while before you eat. It takes an hour-and-a-half to two hours to get everybody fed. You don't do any cooking since there is no stove in the apartment, only a microwave. Grasslands Estates is more like living in an assisted place, yet you're independent enough to do whatever you want and go wherever you want. They have lots of activities. It is nice but expensive. This is all independent living but it is almost like an assisted living atmosphere. The staff members are very nice. The meals are excellent and have several items to choose from. They offer lots of different salads.
