Description of Bickford of Sioux City
Tucked away on a quiet street near the Sioux City Country Club, Bickford of Sioux City is a welcoming retirement community providing caring and compassionate assisted living and memory care to Iowa seniors. At Bickford, we believe that our communities are an extension of our residents' homes and that we are only their guests.
Bickford of Sioux City is proud to be a branch on the Bickford Senior Living family tree. Our operating philosophy is simple: enrich happiness in the lives of our residents and create a workplace where our employees are recognized for providing exemplary care. With communities in nine states throughout the Midwest, we pride ourselves on being trusted by families to care for their loved ones.
As a pet-friendly community, our residents are encouraged to bring along their beloved furry friends and have individualized service plans created for each one. Seniors who do not have a cat or dog to call their own may still enjoy the companionship of our resident “Branch Buddy” who is always there with a warm heart and wet nose.
Meals are also an integral part of life here at Bickford of Sioux City with three home-style meals served daily in The Bread Basket, our community dining room. All dishes are prepared on site using fresh ingredients with menus created in partnership with a licensed dietician.
From assistance with personal chores to administering medications to providing cheerful companionship, our certified caregivers are always available to provide the extra help and support our seniors need to live life to its fullest. We consider every resident a member of our family and treat them as such.
For the comfort and convenience of our residents, we take care of most household chores, including housekeeping, linen changing, snow removal, routine maintenance, landscaping, meal preparation, laundry, and transportation to and from doctor's appointments and group outings.
At Bickford of Sioux City, we shoulder the burden of life's daily chores so that our residents have the freedom to enjoy their retirement years happily and healthily.
