Seniors who enjoy outdoor activities may appreciate that George Doering Park is located directly across the street from Leisure Acres, and Peoria Lake is just a short drive away.

Leisure Acres is an independent living community that offers efficiency and one-bedroom apartments to low-income seniors. Residents must be at least 55 years old and have a household income that is 50% or less than the median area income. Every apartment has a full bathroom and kitchen, as well as its own private patio or deck attached.

Leisure Acres has a plethora of amenities for its residents. They have access to a beauty salon and billiards room, and for convenience, there is an on-site laundry facility. The apartment complex also has a full-time manager and 24-hour on-call maintenance. There are plenty of parking spaces available for those who drive, as well as scheduled transportation for those who need a ride into the city.
