We take care of the duties and chores of home maintenance, housekeeping, linen service, even offering personal laundry service. All utilities except for telephone and cable TV are included in monthly rates. Non-scheduled transportation services, beauty and barber shop, and manicure/pedicures are available for additional fee.

My dad is living at Terra Vista of Oakbrook Terrace. They have dedicated memory care. We are still getting used to the food. I'm not particular about it because I don't think it is food for seniors. It seems like it is a menu for young or middle-aged people. The place is nice and the room is nice. I like the way it is set up. There are no fences around, but everything is within the building. The building surrounds the courtyard so when they go out of the courtyard they won't interact with people from the outside. Also there are cameras around the building, and they have employees at the desk 24-hours a day. Right now they don't really have a lot of activities going on. They advertised that they do but they really don't. That's another thing that I'm not too happy about. However, they have a family council. We can try to get together and convince them to make some changes in that respect. I do like the fact that they have a lot of CNAs. They help my dad a lot. They have two dining areas on each floor; it is a more comforting that way. They also have a couple of sitting areas on each floor. I also like the fact that they wash the clothes individually. They have laundry rooms on each floor. Something else that is a plus is that they don't have showers or tubs in the bathrooms that are in the bedrooms. They just have toilets and places to put their supplies in the sink. The showers and tubs are in a different room on the floor called the sauna room. They take them in there to give them a shower or a bath. That's really helpful. I also like the way that they call you when something happens. The building is brand new, beautiful, always clean, and very modern. The rooms are furnished. They have beds, dressers, and flat-screen televisions. There is wood on the floor and there's no carpet.
